Qualifications and Experience

Chris has been employed in the land based industries for over twenty years in a career which began in amenity horticulture and has since progressed to landscape design and arboriculture.

He has been employed in both the public and private sectors including a spell working for a Berlin based environmental office. Chris currently works in a large multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy in a wide ranging role which includes elements of landscape architecture, arboriculture and ecology.

Holding formal UK qualifications in both landscape architecture and arboriculture Chris studied at the Technical University in Berlin for three years and is a fully chartered member of the UK Landscape Institute, a technical member of the Arboricultural Association and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.

His experience includes report writing, detailed assessments, design statements, management plans and strategy documents. Chris brings this wealth of experience and knowledge of technical language and expertise from the environmental sector to his translation work. He has undertaken translations of websites, promotional material for a number of Berlin based Landscape Architects. Chris divides his time between Southampton on the south coast of England and Berlin.
